IFSG appoints former Mumbai top cop as advisor

Fantasy sports industry body, the Indian Federation for Sports Gaming, announced that former Mumbai police commissioner and Maharashtra DGP, AN Roy, would be ing the organisation as a strategic advisor.

Roy s former Supreme Court judge Justice AK Sikri; former Delhi Daredevils COO Amrit Mathur and former BCCI Chief istrative Officer Ratnakar Shetty as a member of IFSG’s advisory board.

The former Mumbai top cop is expected to work closely with the IFSG board to create guidelines for responsible industry practices for the fantasy gaming sector.

Commenting on the new appointment, Anwar Shirpurwala, CEO, IFSG said, “It is an honour to have Mr. Roy on IFSG’s advisory board and further strengthen the bench. During his vast tenure, Mr. Roy has played a pivotal role in bolstering the Indian police force, streamlining operations as well as improving overall perception.
